World’s top sailors were at the start of the A-class Polish Nationals that have begun today in Sopot. More than 60 competitors have waited long on the racing area for wind stabilisation to carry out the scheduled races.

“We managed to do 2 of 3 scheduled races. The conditions were tricky and it was extremely shifty. The race leaders have changed often.”- Jacek Noetzel, organizer and participant of the regatta, sums up the day on the water. In these changing conditions Polish competitors did very well. In the first race the first four places were taken by competitors from UKS Navigo Sopot. They have read the wind the best and after two races today they are on the first three places in the general classification:

  1. Kuba Surowiec (UKS Navigo)

  2. Maciek Żarnowski (UKS Navigo)

  3. Jacek Noetzel (UKS Navigo)
